Holiday Inn Express - Manchester - TRAFFORDCITY, an IHG Hotel

Stayed at the Holiday Inn for two nights as part of the Coldplay concert weekend. Check in experience was really good and quick. Double room was very spacious and we found it to be quite quiet from any outside traffic. Facilities on site was very good, and breakfast was lovely too. Staff were very friendly and I'd say a bonus is the bar was still open at almost 1am to buy snacks, which helped after the concert when craving chocolate and the mcdonalds next door was closed.

The hotel was so easy to get to, the staff were very polite even when there was a bit of panic when I forgot the booking was under my partners name and not mine. I have worked in hospitality myself for 16 years and all the staff were excellent and didn’t miss a beat, well trained and over all really lovely people.

Stayed overnight in connection with the midweek match at Old Trafford. Arrived at the hotel late at night and was greeted by a super nice receptionist who arranged for pizza and delivered just before we had unpacked our luggage in the hotel room. Large room, good beds, but the carpet deserved a proper cleaning. That, together with the lack of a toilet brush, is the only thing to complain about. Perfect location when traveling with children. Quiet and peaceful area, but still central with a shopping center within walking distance, easy transport by tram to the stadium and the city centre. Full score for service✌️ We will definitely be back!

This hotel is ideally situated for business meetings in the Trafford Park area of Manchester - there's a bar area and plenty of space to meet up with colleagues. There's a Greene King pub on the other side of the car park (2 minute walk) and a limited menu is available at the bar. Breakfast is great - plentiful buffet and reasonable range of options. Even though this is an "Express" version of the Holiday Inn chain, staff are significantly more "on point" than equivalent hotels - smiles on arrival and happy to assist during your stay.
